Kidstuff Promos & Events announces the fifth All India Promotional Awards

Kidstuff Promos & Events, Mudra Group’s specialised marketing offering, on October 4 announced the commencement of Promo Power 2006, a two-day international conference on promotional marketing techniques. They also announced the fifth All India Promo Awards (AIPA), which recognises outstanding promotional and marketing campaigns by an Indian company in 2006.

Speaking on the occasion R Laksmi Narayanan, CEO, Mudra Marketing Services, said, “Promotions are increasingly assuming importance for an organisation due to growing awareness among buyers. With organisations underscoring the critical role of ROI , promotions will keep moving from a short term tactical after thought to a core strategic tool to build brand demand and customer relationships.”

Kidstuff Promo & Events Managing Director, Pankaj Wadwa, said, “Promotional marketing today has taken up marketers challenge and evolved from a short term volume building tactic to a strategic range of communications options resulting in sales generation. This will play a vital role in making promotional marketing an invaluable tool that will help buyer make a right decision and buy more.”

This year the AIPA will go global and the winners of AIPA 2006 will represent India in international awards ceremonies such as the 2007 Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia (PMAA) – Singapore and the APMA ‘Globes’ Worldwide Award Programme – Miami.

In AIPA 2006, Motorola India bagged a Silver for Best Promotion for Motostar. Pond’s Googly Woogly wash and Pepsico India’s Kurkura Mast Family Jackpot won a Brone each. A special promotion awards went to CNN TV 18 for Kathaki Citizen Journalist.

Kidstuff Promos & Events bagged a Gold for the Wackiest Promotion for ‘Not an Uncle’, while Jagran Solution bagged a Bronze for its ‘Simran Ki Khoj’ promo.

Jagran Solution CEO, Ambika Sharma, said, “This is our third big award this year. The credit goes to our clients and our team at Jagran Solutions.”

In Best Event category, the Silver went to SS Edutainment Pvt LTD for Horlicks Whizkids campaign as well as 141 Worldwide for the Nokia Defend Your Turf promo. Solution Integrated Marketing won a Bronze for HP Hats off Event.
