India shines at PROMAX&BDA Asia Conference 2005 with 20 awards

India has won 11 Gold and 10 Silver awards in various categories at the PROMAX&BDA Asia Conference 2005 held in Singapore. This year’s PROMAX&BDA conference focused on building creative bridges between all gadgets and screens that people are using to consume television. Each new advance presents a different set of challenges.

An exited Zubin Driver, Head - Creative & Promotions, Television Eighteen Group, said on winning the Gold for Best Contest Promo, “We are gong to keep pushing the quality. We are happy to win this awards and add to the list as we had won a Silver for Best Brand Film at the PROMAX&BDA India conference this year and had also won the RAPA Gold earlier in the year.”

PROMAX&BDA Asia Pacific is dedicated to advancing the role and effectiveness of promotion, marketing and broadcast design professionals in the electronic media in the Asia Pacific region.

Speaking on behalf of the entire STAR India team, Deepak Segal said, “Teams that work here challenge themselves. Our programmes have been running on air for so long now that’s it’s a real challenge to make promos for these shows, but we have a young team here and they have done an excellent job. Channel [v], in particular, has done a very good job of creating icons. Kudos to the entire STAR team.”
