IFRA India to organise CEO-Publishers Conclave on September 16-17

CEO-Publishers Conclave, a special stand-alone event with an international focus, would be held in Goa on September 16-17. The Conclave would focus on strategy and business topics and feature some well-known Indian and international management experts. It would conclude with the commencement of 16th IFRA India annual conference on September 17 at the same venue.

Registration to the CEO-Publishers Conclave would be open only to CEOs, publishers, managing directors, members of the board and managing editors, etc. The conference would focus on issues pertinent to the news publishing industry.

This year, IFRA India 2008 will not host the mini expo that was part of the conferences in the earlier years. Instead, IFRA Expo India would be held in 2009, coinciding with next year’s IFRA India 2009 Conference.

To accommodate supplier interest, an interesting list of sponsorships, limited number of meeting cubicles as well as a pre-Conference workshop on editorial systems is being planned. A workshop on ‘Reorganising the mutimedia newsroom’ is also on the cards. The two-day conference will conclude on September 18.

IFRA is the worldwide research and service organisation for the news publishing industry with headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany. It has acted, since 1961, as the platform for decision-makers from the news publishing industry. IFRA offers its services primarily to its more than 3,100 members in nearly 80 countries. Its main task is to assist the members to keep pace with the rapid changes in business and technology. The Indian subsidiary, IFRA India, is based in Chennai.
