IAA Indian Chapter undertakes US tour to understand New Age media

In a unique initiative, the India Chapter of International Advertising Association (IC IAA) has mobilised a 22-member CEO delegation that will be undertaking a study tour of developments in New Age media in the US.

The delegation comprises senior professionals representing marketing, advertising, and electronic and print media. In a trip that covers visits to Microsoft at Seattle, Yahoo! at Sunnyvale, Google at Mountain View, and Disney at Los Angeles, the Indian delegation will have a first-hand overview of the latest developments in the digital space and in media convergence. The agenda will also include an exchange of views and ideas with senior executives at these companies.

Pradeep Guha, CEO, Zee Group, and President, IC IAA, said, “This is a recognition of the rapid changes taking place in New Age media and their definite implications on the Indian business scenario. I am heartened by the overwhelming participation we got from senior members of our fraternity and the response we received from leading global companies in the US.”

Raj Nayak, CEO, NDTV Media, and Vice President, IC IAA, added, “Along with the lecture series branded ‘International Indians’, this was a novel and proactive step by the IC IAA to focus on global developments in a manner that would serve the interests of the Indian industry.”
