Ghallab Mohamed joins MediaGuru as Chief Operating Officer for Middle East and Africa

Global media services company MediaGuru announced that Ghallab Mohamed will be joining the company as Chief Operating Officer for Middle East and Africa operations.

The broadcast and media technology veteran will be responsible for overseeing MediaGuru’s business development and operations in the region.

Talking about his new appointment, Mohamed said, “MediaGuru is among a handful of companies with a focus on cutting-edge technology, quality of service delivery, and strong customer orientation and I am delighted to be a part of this young and dynamic team. Media organisations today are generating large volume of content and dealing with it is becoming a major challenge; digitisation and managing media assets is a huge opportunity here with almost every media company looking for the right technology, expertise and solution – that’s where MediaGuru fits in well.”

With more than 17 years of extensive leadership and management experience in broadcast industry, Mohamed brings his breadth of expertise in developing systems business, system sales, project management, system integration and managing professional services. 

He joins MediaGuru from Sony Professional Solutions MEA. In his career, Ghallab has worked across a wide variety of broadcast systems including an extensive range of business critical “state-of-the-art” AV and IT systems; from television and radio studios and automation, OB Vans, DSNG, Earth station, FM and MW systems, Teleport and MCR and IT broadcast, digital archiving and file based solutions.

This latest appointment puts the company on track to expand its media services business and further develop and support their growth strategy in MEA.
