FMCC to conduct two-day workshop on ‘Thinking Media’

To address the new challenges and rapidly changing market scenario, FMCC is holding a two-day workshop for media professionals in the Capital on November 11and 12. Called Thinking Media, the workshop is aimed at providing a comprehensive picture of media sales in the present scenario, which calls for coming up with effective sales strategies in order to survive in this grueling competitive industry.

According to Sajal Mukherjee, Founder and Director, FMCC, the objective behind organising this workshop was “to enhance the skills of professionals in the industry, update them with the latest changes and make them understand how they can effectively and efficiently handle the dealings.”

Elaborating on the reason for emphasising on media sales, Mukherjee said, “It is immediate and demanding… The workshop is an attempt to equip professionals with better skills, thereby bettering the best.”

The two-day workshop will dwell upon issues pertaining to the changing business and economic environment, defining and understanding competition, trends in advertising and communication, changing consumers and media, technological changes and its impact on our business.

Commenting on the challenges that media marketers faced at present, Mukherjee said, “They need to understand as to how they can add value to their client’s business. Media marketers need to justify why buy.”

The workshop will also equip media sellers with ways to provide effective solutions. Apart from that, they will be also given training on how to stay focused, how to work in an effective manner in a team and keep on adding customers day by day.

Set up in 2004, FMCC or Futuristix Media Communication Center, is India’s premier advertising, media and communication institute.
