FMCC to conduct ‘Mobile Marketing and Advertising Workshop’

Advertising, media and communication institute Futuristix Media Communication Centre (FMCC) will conduct a ‘Mobile Marketing and Advertising Workshop’ on May 25 in the Capital. Powered by Active Media Technology, the workshop would stress on the mobile marketing trends.

The objective of the one-day workshop is to familiarise the participants with the changing mobile marketing trends, and training them with the skills required to be effective and efficient in the arena of mobile marketing and advertising.

“The mobile is a new media; it has high potentials. The workshop would inform the users how the device could be used as an effective marketing tool. The workshop would be attended by the leaders of the market in their respective fields, and the sharing of knowledge would benefit the participants,” said Sajal Mukherjee, Director, FMCC.

The workshop will be conducted with the help of professional trainers and industry experts. The faculty for the workshop consists of prominent names from the industry like Raj Singh, Co-founder and Executive Director, ActiveMedia Technology; Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Chairman, Mobile Marketing Association, UK; Tushar Vyas, National Director-Interaction, GroupM India; Anurag Batra, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media; Shekhar Sharma, General Manager, India Today Group Digital; Shaswati Saradar, Senior Media Manager, Maruti; and Sujai Srivastava, Business Manager and Brand Team Leader, Reliance Communication Ltd.

Ramesh Kumar will bring an international perspective to this workshop through his learning in one the world’s most advanced mobile marketing territories -- the UK. The workshop has been conceptualised and designed by FMCC’s Mukherjee and ActiveMedia Technology’s Singh, keeping in mind that marketing and advertising on mobile phones has become increasingly popular ever since the rise of SMS in the early part of this decade.

The workshop will also bring together creators, marketers and distributors of wireless media from all parts of the country with leading international experts to share information. It will focus on the impact of wireless technologies in businesses today, strategies to ensure smooth introduction of a mobile marketing campaign, and managing and evaluating a successful mobile marketing campaign.
