Noted TV serial maker and former ideation head of Zee Telefilm Vinta Nanda is taking time off from the small screen to produce two feature films.

The first film White Noise set in the backdrop of Mumbai’s Lokhandwala complex symbolizes suburban life in a big city. According to Nanda the film is a true comment on how the people from small town background get immuned to their surroundings in a big city as they get into a relationship. Nandna Sen is playing the female lead while the rest of the star cast is yet to be finalized. Nanda who is the writer, producer and director of the film told exchange4media that she is making this movie in Hinglish to target the NRI and foreign audiences.

The second film Kali is a bold comment on the child marriage. The Hindi film written, produced and directed by Nanda is based on the true story of a girl child from Rajasthan who turned a widow at tender age of eight and dumped by her parent.

Nanda whose company Purple Rain is currently engaged in making documentary films for street children told exchange4media that both this films are small budget films being made for Indian and overseas audiences. White Noise goes to floor first in March next and will be ready for release during the 2003 festive season.
