Essel Group’s Ashish Kaul felicitated by J&K Chief Minister

Ashish Kaul, Senior VP-Corporate Brand Development, Essel Group and Zee Telefilms, was among those honoured by Gulab Nabi Azad, Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, for outstanding contribution to society at a ceremony held in Jammu on April 28, 2007.

Besides Kaul, other recipients of the awards were veteran singer Jagjit Singh and noted writer director Ravi Rai.

Pir Panchal, a social service organization that works towards various humanitarian causes and social values and customs, organized the function. The awards were given in presence of senior State Ministers, bureaucrats and police officials.

Kaul was felicitated for his contribution to various social services and humatarian causes. He is deeply involved with various activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Said Kaul, “I am deeply honoured by this recognition. In my humble way, I have instituted funding for girl child education, especially in slums and Kashmiri migrant camps, besides organizing medical camps for slum children. I have also arranged scholarships for youth to preserve Indian heritage, values and tradition.”
