Lodestar Universal shone at the Emvies this year. Besides being declared Agency of the Year, the media agency also walked away with six Silvers, three Golds, the TAM Award and the People’s Choice Award for the best media innovation in TV and digital.
Two Silvers and one Gold were given to Lodestar under the Best Media Research category. The agency also won metals under Best Media Innovation-TV, Direct Marketing and Digital, Best Integrated Campaign and Best Media Strategy – Consumer Durables, Media and Media Property categories.
Mindshare won six Silvers and one Gold. The agency bagged the Gold for Best Media Innovation in Print, and the six Silvers for Best Media Innovation in TV, Best Integrated Campaign, Best Media Strategy-Consumer Products, Best Media Strategy-Consumer Durables, Best Media Strategy-Digital, and for Best Media Innovation-Ambient Media.
O&M’s Ranga Shankara Theatre Festival campaign won the Grand Emvies Award. The agency also won four Golds – for Best Media Innovation-Ambient Media, for Best Media Innovation-Events, for the Ranga Shankara campaign under Best Media Innovation for Never Used before Media, and for Best Integrated Campaign.
Madison walked away with two Golds – one for Best for Media Innovation in TV, and another one for Best for Media Innovation in Radio.
Emvies 2007 awards ceremony was held in Mumbai on June 29, which saw a packed auditorium full of media professionals cheering for their agencies, applauding wildly every time an award was conferred. Spoofs, plays, and colourful performances also made the evening a memorable one for the Advertising Club of Bombay, which has been organizing the media award function for the last seven years.
