EM2 2006: Discovering synergies, identifying new revenue streams in entertainment & media industry

The third edition of EM2, an entertainment, media and marketing forum of the Film and Television Producers Guild of India (FTPGI) will be held in Mumbai on August 17-18, 2006. The forum will have experts discussing the current entertainment, media and marketing scenario in India and sharing their views on the industry’s future. The event has been conceptualised and is being executed by Hungama Mobile, one of South Asia’s leading mobile entertainment companies.

The objective of this event is to provide insight to stakeholders in the entertainment, media and marketing business in discovering synergies, identifying new revenue streams, facilitating cross media promotion and identifying a 360-degree approach to film and television marketing.

Day one at EM2 on August 17 will have interactive sessions from the key industry speakers on topics such as film and television marketing, digital and mobile entertainment, home entertainment, retail, print, radio, digital, gaming and more.

The list of speakers include Bhaskar Das, Executive President, Times Group; Colvyn Harris, MD, JWT; Lloyd Mathias, Executive Director, Motorola; Mohit Anand, Head, Gaming, Microsoft; Sameer Nair, CEO, STAR TV; Sanjay Purohit, Director, Sales and Marketing, Cadbury; Sanjeev Agrawal, President, Pantaloon; Sunil Lulla, CEO, Times Global Broadcasting Company Ltd; Vikram Kaushik, MD, Tata Sky; Vikram Sakhuja, MD, Mindshare; and Uday Singh, MD, Sony Pictures.

Day Two has been designed to serve as a networking platform for the delegates and an opportunity for advertisers, brand custodians and media companies to meet content producers. There will be eight business lounges on this day, allotted to film and television content providers interested in showcasing their products on a one-on-one basis to the attendees.

Amit Khanna, President, FTPGI, said, “EM2 is an attempt by the Guild to create a platform to find out synergy between producers and other media and businesses in the exciting times of cross media relationships. It also gives an opportunity to find out the best ways to market filmed entertainment.”

EM2 2005 saw well-known personalities like Amit Khanna, Yash Chopra, Peter Mukherjea, Michael Birkin, Sameer Nair, Kunal Dasgupta, Bijou Kurien, Mahesh Prasad, Rajat Jain, and Bobby Bedi speaking on topics like Film and Television Marketing, Digital and Mobile Entertainment, Experiential Marketing and Product Placement and other forms of innovative media.
