After a well-attended and enthusiastically received round in Mumbai on June 3, the exchange4media Conclave 2009 is set to commence in Delhi shortly today at Hotel Taj Palace. The theme of the Conclave this year is very topical – ‘Thriving in Challenging Times’. The day-long Conclave is presented by Star News and powered by Hindustan Times. The opening session of the exchange4media Conclave 2009 in Delhi aims to throw light on the thought process of advertisers regarding ad spends in times of slowdown. The session speakers include the likes of Praveen Tripathi, CEO, Hansa Consulting; Abraham Thomas, COO, Red FM; Rajat Sethi, Executive Director, Reader’s Digest; Rohit Sharma, COO, Zapak; Sandeep Lakhina, Starcom Worldwide; and Sudha Natrajan, COO, Lintas Media Group.
This will be followed by a macro session from 11.45 am to 12.45 pm, which would look at how the media should respond to the clients’ needs in the current challenging environment.
The next session is that on ‘What comes first: Media or the message?’ The session will be chaired by Sandip Tarkas, President - Customer Strategy, Future Group.
From 3.45 pm to 4.45 pm, there will be a special address by Suhel Seth, CEO, Counselage, who would be speaking on the changing rules of media accountability and how media stakeholders should respond to the changing status.
This would be followed by an address by Ashok Venkatramani, CEO, MCCS.
Wrapping the day’s proceedings will be an hour-long CEO Roundtable from 5.20 pm to 6.20 pm, which will see the distinguished panel discuss on ‘From it’s time to grow to it’s time to grow up’.
