Decoding reporting on business in a global world

Business journalism has emerged as a specialised field, requiring specific skill sets to meet the growing demands. Industry veterans will share their expertise on business journalism at a workshop on ‘Reporting on Business in a Global World’, being held at The LaLit, Barakhamba Road, Delhi on March 29, 2011.

The workshop is being organised by in collaboration with the High Commission of Canada.

Simon Cridland, Head, Advocacy Program, High Commission of Canada, will deliver the opening address. This will be followed by an overview provided by Anurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media Group.

Mythili Bhusnurmath, Consulting Editor, Economic Times, will provide a ‘World Economic Outlook’.

Jehangir S Pocha, Co-Promoter, INX News Pvt Ltd, will speak on ‘Reporting in a Converged Media Environment’.

Sandeep Bamzai, Senior Editor, Headlines Today, will provide his insights on ‘Government Policies: Reporting on their Impact on Business’.

Rohit Gandhi, Correspondent, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, will speak on ‘Reporting on Bilateral and Multilateral Trade’.

Senior journalist and author of ‘Media Ethics’, Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, will share his views on ‘Issues of Ethics in Reporting on Business’.
