Coca Cola is all set to paint Pune red with Coca Cola Red Lounge in a few months. Red Lounges would a one-stop destination for the youth to hang out where they can surf the Internet, chat, watch TV on giant plasma screens and experience the entire portfolio of Coca Cola, all under the same zone.
Venkatesh Kini, Vice President-Marketing, Coca Cola India, said, “We are excited to bring the concept of Red Lounges to India. We are currently conducting test marketing in Pune. Depending on the response there, we will have a nationwide launch. These lounges will be mall-centric.”
Kini added that the youth could use the facilities in these lounges free of cost initially. “Our target audience is all age groups, but essentially the youth will enjoy most the experience in this zone. Coke’s Red Lounges will be open-air youth corners with comfortable couches, iPod stations, gaming options, etc.,” Kini said. Coca Cola is also hoping to tap the high-end water market with the nationwide launch of Schweppes.
Coca Cola is also launching a national toll free consumer feedback number, 1800-180-2653. It would primarily service all queries related to product and package quality, get queries addressed, seek information and also provide feedback.
