Buzz18.com and IndiWo.com to partner Lakmé Fashion Week

Buzz18 and IndiWo.com, both from the Web 18 Group, have signed up to partner with Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW), to be held from October 13 to October 17, 2007. Buzz18 will be the official broadband partner, while IndiWo.com, a women’s website, will also offer exclusive live webcast for some of the shows of LFW 2007.

Live webcast of LFW on Buzz18.com and IndiWo.com will showcase all the key features of the show. Fifty-four designers from across the country will participate in the event this year, including Manish Malhotra, Neeta Lulla, Vikram Phadnis, and Arjun Khanna, among others.

Neeraj Sanan, Director-Marketing, Web 18, said, “Buzz18.com and IndiWo.com have always provided its users the best of entertainment round the clock. We are extremely honoured to be associated with such a prestigious event of the country that has created a niche for itself as India’s biggest fashion extravaganza. Live webscasting on Buzz18.com and IndiWo.com is our initiative to provide complete updates and highlights of the fashion week and make sure that fashion lovers are not deprived of the best of the action due to lack of time or television.”

“The Internet industry is currently 30 million in India as per industry estimates and seeing the potential of the Internet market we believe that it will bring a boon in the Internet space,” Sanan added.

Buzz18.com is a venture of Web 18 Software Services Ltd, which in turn is a venture of Television Eighteen. IndiWo.com was also launched by TV18 Group. IndiWo is meant for the Indian woman anywhere in the world.
