B2B research firm Kadence entering India, appoints Aman Makkar as MD

International market research agency Kadence Business Group is starting its India operations from October this year and has appointed Aman Makkar as Managing Director.

At present, Kadence has four centres worldwide in Boston, London, Singapore and Sydney. Besides India, the agency will also be commencing its operations in Malaysia. “We will start our operations in India from New Delhi and within three months we will expand to Mumbai. Within a year’s time, we will also start our operations in Bangalore,” Makkar said.

Established in 1991, Kadence’s work is mostly focused on IT and telecommunications. However, the agency also does a great deal of work in medical / pharmaceutical, building / construction, finance / banking and other markets. “In India, we will provide qualitative, quantitative and online research in B2B, social research and FMCG sectors,” Makkar said.

He further said, “Till now, there has been no specialised B2B research company in India. Kadence is the first such company to enter the Indian territory with global expertise in B2B research.”

Asked why Kadence was entering India at this point of time, Makkar said, “The Indian economy is growing at a fast rate and companies in India are realising the importance of market research. Indian companies are expanding globally with acquisitions like the Mittal-Arecelor deal. With our global network, we believe we could serve such companies better.”

Makkar has 24 years of experience in the market research industry. He has worked for IMRB for over 17 years, leaving the company as Operations Head, North Zone. He joined Research Pacific India (RPI) in 2001 as Director, Operations in Delhi heading its operations, new client development and business generation, before leaving the company two months back to join Kadence.
