ATG, MCI strengthens Bangkok wing, eyes global market

Alongside charting out expansion plans within India, ATG and MCI, the specialist divisions within GroupM, they are busy looking for opportunities abroad. Thailand seems to be their present target with Charu Mahajan, Manager Planning at Mindshare Delhi, shifting base to Bangkok as Associate Director ATG and MCI.

Commenting on the latest development, V Balasubramanium, National Director, ATG and MCI said, “We see immense potential in the consulting area and would like to take the Indian model to global markets”. He added that while Unilever, the divisions’ biggest client was the primary motivator for it to extend operations to Thailand, as the Asia Pacific region held great business promise.

Apart from working on the Unilever account, Mahajan will also be responsible for exploring new business opportunities. With ATG and MCI headquartered in Bangalore, she will be constantly in touch with India besides expanding her own team, he informed.

Balasubramanium noted that along with its own expansion plans, the specialist divisions were also creating a great career path for their teams. “By offering them positions in different areas, we allow our teams to explore different avenues and grow in their careers,” he said.
