Amar Ujala MQ 2012: Team TCS wins Bangalore round

The TCS team comprising Sreekanth G and Jayakanthan R swept the Bangalore regionals of the Amar Ujala MQ 2012 – What’s Your Media Quotient? quiz with a total score of 55 points. The media quiz was held in Bangalore on June 27.

Quiz masters for the Bangalore round were Prateek Shrivastava, Group President South, O&M and Rajeev Gangwani, Senior Vice President South, JWT.

Sreekanth and Jayakanthan, as a team, had participated in last year’s MQ quiz as well.

Sreekanth said, “A quiz quenches the thirst for curiosity and helps increase knowledge. It’s the curiosity that has driven me to participate in many quizing shows all around India.”

Neither of them were expecting to win in the Bangalore round, given the stiff competition from the fellow participants.

Both Sreekanth and Jayakanthan felt that being a part of media quiz contest helped them in knowing about the industry as they are from IT background.

“The questions were balanced and had a right mix. Some questions were very technical and it was hard to get the answers,” the team said.

The audience was very enthusiastic and participated in the quiz.

The Delhi regionals this year was won by the duo comprising Rohan Khanna and Tanmay Prusty of the Genpact-Reckitt Benckiser team. The Kolkata regionals was won by Trishit Majumdar and Subhrangshu Banerjee of the ABP team.

The Mumbai regionals, followed by the grand finale, will be held in Mumbai on June 29.
