Aerosmith Live ropes in 5 sponsors with Royal Challenge as presenting sponsor

Come June 2, DNA Networks will present the live concert of Aerosmith in Bangalore as part of the band’s ‘Greatest Hits 2007 World Tour’. The concert has roped in Royal Challenge as the presenting sponsor. The five other sponsors are Reliance, Pepsi, Sanyo, Indiatimes.com and VH1. The event also has category sponsors, which include Bingo, Taj West End, Accenture, NDTV 24x7, Radio Indigo and HSBC.

Alok Gupta, Executive Vice President-Marketing, United Spirits Limited, said, “Royal Challenge is proud to present Aerosmith to the forever young Indian audiences. Like Aerosmith, Royal Challenge is a brand that has appealed to a wide spectrum of audiences cutting across age and time. In true sense, this is an association of two legends coming together.”

Venkat Vardhan, Managing Director, DNA Networks, added, “Aerosmith is one of America’s greatest cult bands, and we’re proud to be the first to get them to India. They hold the record for the most gold, platinum and multiplatinium albums by any American group, and have a very strong fan following in India too. The concert will be a must-watch as we are not leaving any stones unturned to make this one of the most memorable gigs in the country so far.”

The India concert is part of Aerosmith’s 2007 World Tour, which kicked off on April 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The tour will mark the band’s first performance outside North America and Japan in eight years. The Latin America leg will be followed by Eurasia and North America. Apart from India, the band will also perform in United Arab Emirates for the first time ever.
