TAM, in association with MICA, is organizing a programme on 'TV Broadcasting: Channel Brand Strategies'. It includes three workshops of two days each to be held on three consecutive weekends starting Saturday, 27th September. Topics for the workshops, which aim at benefiting the middle and senior management in media industry, are Channel Selling and Media Buying, Channel Research and Media Planning, and Channel Programming and Channel Marketing.

As to the objective of the programme, said Atul Phadnis, Director, S Group, TAM said, "We must appreciate different aspects and functions of media industry and understand them for our own business goals and objectives. This is the purpose of the forthcoming seminar as well. How broadcasters look at information and process it, is very different from the way advertisers and media planners look at it. It is a platform for both to understand each other's perspective - and share learning’s across industries. Besides, new national and international tools are coming in to govern the media, and it is very essential to keep abreast of them." As for MICA's participation in the seminar, he added, "MICA runs a number of professional development programmes (PDPs), and is keen on enabling the sharing of cross industry learning’s. As there is a synergy in our objective there, we decided to partner the programme."

A number of well known names form the industry would be addressing the audience. Among them: LV Krishnan and Atul Phadnis from TAM Media Research, Sandeep Tarkas and Vikram Sakhuja from Mindshare, Dr Ravi Moorthy and Ravi Kiran from Starcom Worldwide, Sunil Lulla and Abraham Thomas from SET, Soumitra Saha from Turner International India, Praveen Tripathi - Media Consultant, Dr Chandrashekhar from Dr.Morepen, Sharad Kumar from Sun TV, Partha Sinha from Zee and Piyush Chakrabotry from National Geographic.

Workshops would be held in Mumbai.
