Continuing with its efforts to strengthen its prime time band, Vijay TV is all set to launch two new serials – ‘Khaki’ and the third season of ‘Kana Kaanum Kaalangal’. Both ‘Khaki’ and ‘Kana Kaanum Kaalangal 3’ are premiering on September 22.
‘Khaki’ is a high action serial about six police officials – five men and a woman – who have dedicated their lives to fighting immorality. Produced by Touch Screen Media Pvt Ltd and directed by Brahma, ‘Khakhi’ will be aired Monday to Thursday at 7.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the new batch of ‘Kana Kaanum Kaalangal’ will also be introduced on September 22. Based on school life, the third season features a new batch of students.
Vijay TV had recently created a 9 pm band with a series of reality shows – ‘Super Singer 2008’, dance reality show ‘Amul Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva’, and celebrity dance show ‘Jodi No. 1’ – replacing the soaps.
The channel has lined up two more serials, which would be launched next month – ‘Kannai Katti Kollathey’ (Don’t close your eyes, or Don’t blindfold yourself), based on the lives of five strong women, and a mythological serial ‘Devi Darsanam’ (Glimpse of the Goddess).
