With growing complexities in today’s broadcast space, it has become important for broadcasters, advertisers, and media planners to understand ways to increase the viewership numbers and attain maximum returns on investments. With this view, Television Audience Measurement (TAM) and Indian Television Association (ITA) have taken an initiative to call for the second edition of the educative seminar- ‘Using TRPs to Win’.
The seminar aims to provide a platform for advertisers and media agencies to know people and organisations in the production sector, and thereby explore scopes for partnerships. The first seminar on the same topic was conducted a couple years back in 2003.
The event will be held this evening at 7 pm in Mumbai, and will be divided into two sessions. The first session will have eminent speakers like Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief, Times Now; Anurag Batra, MD and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media; Shashi Sinha, CEO, Lodestar; Smriti Irani, Producer, Ugraya Entertainment; and Uday Shankar, CEO, Star TV, who will give their views on how to use TRPs in manner that would be good not only for broadcasters alone, but also for advertisers and media planners. Vickram Sakhuja, COO, Group M, will moderate the session.
The second session will be a discussion on how to make programme sponsorship more effective by successfully implementing brand integration with content, and then evaluating the same for better understanding for its effectiveness.
Speakers like Chintamani Rao, CEO, India TV; Dilip Venkatraman, Director-Marketing and Online Projects, CNN-IBN; Lynn De Souza, Director, Lintas Media Services; Prem Sagar, Producer, Sagar Films and Entertainment; Peter Mukherjea, Promoter, INX Group; and Rohit Gupta, President-Network, Sales, Licensing and Telephony, SET India, will share their views on the subject. Rahul Welde, GM, India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, will moderate the second session of the seminar.
