Filmy runs on-air contest to promote screening of ‘Umrao Jaan’

With the acquired rights of films like ‘Umrao Jaan’, ‘Guru’ and ‘Nishabdh’, Filmy channel has unveiled a host of promotional activities for the television screening of these movies. The channel will kick off these activities with ‘Umrao Jaan’, which is slated to premiere on 30 June at 8 pm.

Talking about the initiative, Shailesh Kapoor, Marketing and Content Head, Filmy, said, “At Filmy, we believe in creating an interactive viewing experience for our audiences. Through this contest, we are getting our audiences intimately involved with the protagonist, and thus increasing the movie viewing experience.”

From June 14 to 27, Filmy is promoting a ‘shayari’ contest called ‘Arz Kiya Hai’ for its viewers. To participate viewers can SMS Umrao followed by their ‘shayari’, to 9090, or through emails. The best eight ‘shayaris’ will be selected and aired in the ad breaks during the screening of the movie.
