Zee Network’s new logo and branding comes into effect, Zee channels sport new brand identities

As was reported by exchange4media.com on March 25th in its story “ Zee embarks on re-branding, to unveil new logos for all channels from March 27 midnight”, Zee Network now has new logo and brand identity. The new logo of Zee was unveiled at the Zee Cine Awards in London last night. All ZEE channels have now started sporting new brand identities.

Though senior officials and key management were away to London for Zee Cine Awards and could not be reached for their comments, this new branding after evaluating the new logos seems to be an exercise aimed to youthify and contemporarize the network . The new identity is the first major visible change that Pradeep Guha seems to have effected and could be a first step towards re-branding the Zee network and its constituents.

As part of the new uniform identity Zee network’s English movie channel which was earlier called ZMZ or Zee Movie Zone will be now called Zee Studio. The fashion and lifestyle channel from Zee earlier called Trendz is now re-branded as Zee Trendz. Similarly Zee English is now called Zee Café. All the constituents have the new logo identity.

It would be interesting to see how Zee network communicates this to its viewers as well the trade and how it changes the fortunes of the network.
