CNBC-TV18 launches Awaaz: India Alive

CNBC-TV18 today announced the launch of Awaaz: India Alive, a bilingual series that focuses on business in the small towns, mini metros, away from the metros, and in the heartland of India.

Awaaz: India Alive premieres today at 6:30 hrs and will play at the same time every weekend. The show will also air on Sundays at 20:00 hrs. It is a 30-minute weekly show that captures small, unusual business opportunities and addresses consumer issues. The approach of the whole show is similar to that of a catalogue. The information, as per official sources, is very “detailed and micro.”

An inherent feature of the show, states CNBC, is that it is an interactive forum for people to call and get their queries answered from experts in the studio. The show, therefore, is actually driven by what the viewer wants. Inviting feedback and comments is another regular feature of the show.

Saikumar, VP, Sales & Marketing, CNBC-TV18, explains, "Awaaz is simply a reflection of our belief and knowledge that business is no longer an urban or localised phenomenon. It is clear today that the business and entrepreneurial spirit is sweeping all parts of the country. The series is also an indicator of the growing reach and influence of CNBC-TV18 in small towns and non-metros. We believe that this show fills a unique need gap and will be appreciated by audiences across the nation."
