ASCI turns the spotlight on ‘Marketing Responsibly’ to celebrate 25 years

India’s premier advertising body, The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) is observing its Silver Jubilee. To commemorate this occasion, a special seminar – ‘Marketing Responsibly: A seminar to Celebrate 25 years of The Advertising Standards Council of India’ – is being held in Mumbai on June 10, 2010 at the Trident, Bandra Kurla Complex. The Seminar is co-organised by the exchange4media Group.

The Seminar would see a slew of senior Government officials and industry captains address key issues in ‘marketing responsibilities’ in various facets such as education, children’s issues, and women’s issues, among others.

The inaugural address would be delivered by Raghu Menon, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB), followed by a special address by Udaykumar Varma, Special Secretary, MIB.

Vindi Banga, President – Foods, Home & Personal Care, Unilever Plc, is the Keynote speaker. Adi Godrej, Chairman, Godrej Group, would deliver the Valedictory address on ‘The future of self-regulation in India’.

The speakers include eminent personalities such as Ricardo Fort, Vice-President - Marketing, Coca Cola India; Paritosh Joshi, CEO, STAR CJ Network; Sam Balsara, Chairman and Managing Director, Madison World; and Arvind Sharma, Chairman, India Subcontinent, Leo Burnett, among others.

The proceedings of the day would be interspersed by insightful session on topics such as ‘Marketing Responsibly to children’, ‘Truthfulness in Marketing’ and ‘Marketing Responsibly: The women’s side’, among others.

Hindustan Times is the presenting sponsor. Cartoon Network is the co-sponsor of the Seminar, while the Times Television Network is the media TV partner. Yes Bank is the banking partner, while Fever FM is the Radio Partner for this event.
