Taking a step ahead from providing brand consulting and campaign planning to clients, Grey Cell – a unit of Grey Global Group, aims to provide complete business solutions to varied clients. Head Consumer Insights & Planning Naresh Gupta says, the Cell, constituted almost one and half years back, has so far handled major clients like Samsung, Ranbaxy Labs (RLL) etc and is now looking forward to provide similar services to others.
Elaborating further on Grey Cell, Gupta says the five-member-team spread across the country has handled almost all existing clients of Grey. Research findings of almost all leading agencies like ORG, ICRA etc are used extensively to add value to the solutions offered. The team at present handles various synchronised marketing clients.
Grey Cell is basically an extension of the planning operation of the global major and is a value addition in the system. They have also handled several political campaigns. A research, named ‘Eves Dropping’ on housewives of tomorrow conducted over a period of six months, was released in November 2003. This was the first independent research being carried by Grey Cell in India. “It is available commercially and in the coming few months Grey Cell will be coming out with more similar research work,” Gupta said.
