Buoyed by ABC’s recent report that puts Malayala Manorama daily’s circulation at 15 lakh copies, the Kerala-based media major is planning to come up with more editions in the state.
“We will be come up with more editions in order to reach the readers in every nook and corner of the state,” said Varghese Chandy, General Manager, Marketing Operations, Malayala Manorama.
“This milestone is worth celebrating as it comes at a time when the country is witnessing a price war in terms of cover price of newspapers. But the Kerala newspaper industry has not entered this price war and Malayala Manorama is still price at Rs 3.50. Considering these factors, reaching this magic (circulation) figure is a commendable achievement,” he added.
“Now that we have widened the gap between us and the second largest circulated daily in Kerala, advertisers need not knock at several doors to achieve their objective,” Chandy said, adding that Malayala Manorama’s multi-media platform was a one-stop solution for any advertiser who wanted to reach readers in Kerala.
For the record, Malayala Manorama with the circulation of 15 lakh, has widened the gap between itself and the second largest circulated daily in Kerala, Mathrubhumi. According to the ABC report, Malayala Manorama leads by 4.2 lakh copies in Kerala.
Malayala Manorama currently has 13 editions printed from Kottayam, Calicut, Kochi, Thiruvanandapuram, Palakkad, Kannur, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kollam, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and New Delhi. The newspaper major also has editions in Dubai and Bahrain.
