Rajasthan Patrika launches Hindi eveninger, ‘News Today’, in Jaipur

Hindi daily Rajasthan Patrika has launched an eveninger, ‘News Today’, in Jaipur to cater to the varied tastes of one of the fastest growing cities in India. The evening daily is priced at Re 1.

“News Today’ brings a new set of readers to the advertisers that had so far remained untouched by the mainstream morning newspapers. This new penetration, together with the mother brand, shall offer the advertisers more depth of reach,” said Sidharth Kothari, Director, Rajasthan Patrika.

Evening newspapers have now created a place for themselves, the pattern is more evident in metros like Mumbai and Delhi. “Jaipur, due to its growing expanse and pace of development, is today not just a metro in terms of geography, it also lives the metro lifestyle. It is today dotted with malls and discotheques all over. In this fast paced life, when every moment records a new happening, all the opportunity for a quality evening newspaper can not be over-emphasized,” the paper said in a release.

Elaborating on the content of the evening daily, the release said, “News Today is going to update the reader not only with local happenings but also with the latest in business and the world. It is also going to add value to the reader with its rich content and unique editorial properties.”

“This provides a new opportunity to the advertiser by bringing to him the more serious readers and also to cut the ad clutter and get noticed. This would also serve as a reminder to the advertising message in the morning newspaper for a better recall,” it added.

The newspaper comprises sections on important news and events of the city and the region, a complete global and national round-up, latest news from the world of cinema and entertainment, information technology, electronics and automobiles, family matters, as well as a special section for women and children.
