Ministry of Information and Broadcasting shuffles over 20 Group ‘A’ officers

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced transfers and postings of over 20 Group ‘A’ officers on January 17, 2018, in a major reshuffling barely 2 months after the ministry shuffled over 24 senior officers of the Indian Information Service (IIS).

As per the order by the MIB, these transfers and posting are with immediate effect.

AK Rout who was until now posted as Directory General (DG), Press Information Bureau (PIB), Patna has now been transferred to New Delhi where he will do look after the publicity and media related work for Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Minority Affairs and Ministry of Women and Child Development.

A Bharat Bhushan Babu who was “Under order of posting after repatriation from deputation” has now been made Additional Director General, PIB, New Delhi - on promotion to SAG of IIS Group ‘A’. He will be handling the media and publicity work for Ministry of home Affairs, Ministry of Personnel Public Grievance and Pension, Ministry of North Eastern Railway (NER), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Department of Atomic Energy, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Central Information Commission (CIC) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

The other officers who have been transferred are Rajesh Malhotra, Sheyphali B Sharan, Rajeev Kumar Jain (I), Alpana Pant Sharma, Neeta Prasad, Monideepa M Mukherjee, K Syama Prasad, Nidhi Pandey, TVK Reddy, Rajeev Kumar Jain (II), Pankaj Pandey, Kismat Anil Sagar, Sunil Kumar Shukla, Amit Kumar, and Pavni Gupta.

Three director-level officers including Jane Namchu, Prashant Pathrabe and Atu Kumar Tiwary have also been promoted to the Additional Director General rank in PIB.
