Kamala Mills Fire: Times Network operations limp back to normalcy

Times Network’s broadcasting operations in India were disrupted after a fire broke out at its Lower Parel office in the wee hours on December 29, 2017.
At least 15 people died and 21 others hurt when a major fire broke out in a pub adjacent to Times Network office in the Kamala Mills Compound. However, all Times Network staff were safely evacuated.
“And we are back! @MirrorNow telecast has been restored from make shift studios in Noida,” Faye DSouza, Editor of Mirror Now tweeted around 1:15 pm.
Earlier, she had tweeted informing that Mirror Now team had flown to Noida to start telecast from make-shift studios and that they would be back on air soon.
Although presently Times Now and Mirror now are transmitting from make-shift studios and running their separate shows, earlier today, Times Now and Mirror Now were running the same feed.
“Times Network’s News channels- Times Now, Times Now HD, ET Now and Mirror Now are operational now. The English Entertainment Channels (Movies Now, Movies Now HD, MN+, MNX, MNX HD, Romedy Now, Romedy Now HD) and Zoom will be back on air shortly,” read the official statement from one of India’s biggest media conglomerates.
According to media reports, Times Now building not much been affected by the fire, Mirror Now, Movies Now, Movies Now HD, MNX HD, MN+ HD, MNX, Romedy Now, Romedy Now HD and Zoom have faced major infrastructure losses.
TV9 Marathi channel’s transmission was also interrupted temporarily as the office is located in the same premises as that of Times Network.
