Flashed Yesterday: Star Sports gets new CEO, Gautam Thakar

Star India has appointed Gautam Thakar as CEO of Star Sports.

Thakar was working with Revolution LLC as executive in residence in Washington DC. He is expected to join Star India in mid January 2018. Thakar is replacing Nitin Kukreja who quit Star Sports in March 2017. 
Thakar is an MBA from IIM, Lucknow.

The popular channel from the Viacom18 ‘s umbrella MTV Indies, which aired music by independent artistes, was replaced by MTV Beats, a 24x7 Hindi music channel in 2016
