BARC Week 39: India Aus T20 series lead the Top 5 Programs list

Zee Anmol continued to lead collectively in the Hindi GEC category with 661 million impressions, according to BARC data for week 39 (September 23-29). It was followed by Zee TV with 624 million impressions and Star Plus with 566 million impressions. 

Star Plus topped the urban market with 384 million impressions while Zee Anmol continued to rule the rural market with 517 million impressions.

Zee TV’s popular properties, ‘KundaliBhagya’ and ‘KumkumBhagya’ continued to the Top 5 programs overall with 10.8 million and 10.3 million impressions, respectively.

In the rural market, DD National came in at the sixth spot with 241 million impressions on the back of the India vs Australia T20 series. The third ODI garnered 7.5 million views and topped the Top 5 Programs List while the fourth ODI came in second with 6.4 million impressions. 

Urban Market

Star Plus dethroned Zee TV with 384 million impressions, compared to 387 million impressions it had in Week 38. Its Dance Plus 3 program came in at the fifth spot with 5.4 million impressions.

Colors rose to the second spot from third spot last week with 368 million impressions, compared to 382 million impressions it had in Week 38. ‘Fear Factor KhatronKeKhiladi’ rose to fourth spot in the Top 5 Programs (Urban) list fetching 5.6 million impressions.

Zee TV retained its third spot with 367 million impressions as against the 383 million impressions it garnered the previous week. Its Kundali Bhagya’ rose to second spot in the top 5 programs list in this market with 6.2 million impressions while ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ dropped to second spot garnering 5.8 million impressions.

Sony Entertainment Television remained at fourth spot with 360 million impressions as against previous week’s 377 million impressions. Its iconic property 'Kaun Banega Crorepati’ reigned over the Top 5 programs list in the urban market with 6.6 million impressions.

Sony SAB took the fifth spot with 258 million impressions.

Rural Market

Zee Anmol continued to lead rural market with 517 million impressions with its popular show ‘Jamai Raja’ dropping to fifth position in the Top 5 Programs (Rural) with 4.9 million impressions while Kaala Teeka came in fourth with 5 million impressions.

Sony Pal maintained its second spot with 362 million impressions. The show ‘Baalveer’ aired on Sony Pal dropped to third spot with 5.4 million impressions.

Rishtey rose to third spot with 320 million impressions. No show from Rishtey made it to the Top 5 Programs list.

The new channel Star Bharat dropped to fourth spot with 308 million impressions. None of its shows made it to the Top 5 Programs list.

Zee TV maintained its fifth spot with 257 million impressions.
