BARC Week 2, 2018: Sony Ten 1 continues to lead sports genre

Backed by four properties including the first test match between South Africa and India of Freedom Cup, Sony Ten 1 retained its top 5 channels in 2018’s second week (January 6-12), as per the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) all India data. The channel grabbed the first spot with 1, 46, 863 impressions (000s).

The other three properties are WWE RAW 18 and WWE Smackdown and Extraaa Innings took the second, third, fourth and fifth spot with 1290 (000s), 1205 (000s) and 1155 (000s) impressions respectively.

The test match on Sony Ten 3 and Sony Ten 1 took the top two spots topped the top 5 programs with 2541 (000s) and 2498 (000s) impressions respectively. Sony Ten 3 took the second spot with 97, 296 (000s) impressions.

Star Sports First slipped to the third spot with 65,566 impressions (000s). Star Sports 1 Hindi and Sony SIX retained its fourth and fifth spot with 35,330 (000s) and 33769 (000s) impressions respectively.
