BARC Week 1: Zee Anmol continues to dominate overall and rural market

The race between Zee Anmol and Star Bharat of being on number one slot continues.

Zee Anmol garnered the leadership position in the first week of 2018 with 685344 Impressions (000s) as per the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India. Star Bharat grabbed slot this week with 678228 Impressions(000s) followed by Colors on third slot with 598060 Impressions(000s).

Zee TV’s two primetime shows Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya grabbed the first and second slots with 11181 Impressions (000s) and 10554 Impressions (000s). Sony’s Super Dancer Chapter 2 bagged the third spot with 10042 Impressions (000s) followed by Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya on fourth with 9955 and Kya Haal Mr Panchal on fifth with 9939 Impressions (000s).
Zee TV and Sony Pal bagged fourth and fifth spot with 569854 Impressions(000s) and 557297 Impressions (000s) respectively. 
Urban Hindi GEC
In week 1, Colors continued to lead the market with 439287 Impressions (000s) followed by Star Plus on second slot with 385880 Impressions (000s) and Zee TV on third with 350649 Impressions(000s).
Sab TV’s Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma bagged the first spot in top programming list with 6961 Impressions (000s) followed by Zee TV Kundali Bhagya with 6930 Impressions (000s)and Sony’ Super Dancer Chapter 2 on third with 6495 Impressions (000s). Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya stood at number four with 6464 Impressions (000s) and Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on fifth with 6356 Impressions (000s).
Star Bharat grabbed fourth spot with 331958 Impressions (000s) and Sony Entertainment Television was on fifth position with 297308 Impressions (000s).

Rural Hindi GEC
Zee Anmol continued to dominate the rural market with 513567 Impressions (000s) followed by Star Utsav on second slot with 396160 Impressions (000s) and Sony Pal on third with 378521 Impressions (000s).
Kumkum Bhagya on Zee Anmol recorded 7911 Impressions and led the top five programming list followed by Rishtey’s Tere Naal Ishq with 6528 Impressions (000s) on second and Sony Pal’s Balveer on third slot with 6350 Impressions (000s). TMKOC on Sony Pal grabbed fourth slot with 5890 Impressions (000s) and Zee Anmol’s Jamai Raja stood at number five with 5715 Impressions (000s).
Star Bharat and Rishtey stood at number four and five with 346269 Impressions (000s) and 323827 Impressions (000s) respectively.
