RAM Ratings: Fever rules Mumbai and Delhi for Week 42

Week 42 (October 15-21, 2017) of RAM Ratings saw the radio channel Fever dominating Mumbai and Delhi while Radio City and Radio Mirchi took over Bangalore and Kolkata respectively.

In the Mumbai Universe of 12.2 million listeners, Fever was at number one position capturing 17.1 per cent share, followed by Radio City and Radio Mirchi. Radio City was stable at its second spot with 13.8 per cent share while Radio Mirchi moved up by 0.6 per cent to third spot with 13.4 per cent share. Big FM slipped to fourth spot with 12.9 per cent share, 0.7 per cent down from the previous count. Red FM retained its fifth spot with 10.9 per cent share, 0.6 per cent decrease from the previous count. Early morning followed by morning and mid-morning time band observed the highest listenership on total radio.

In Delhi Universe of 16.5 million listeners, Fever continued to dominate with a share of 19.2 per cent, followed by Radio Nasha (12.8 per cent) and Radio Mirchi (11.6 per cent.) Radio City retained its fourth spot with 11.6 per cent share, similar to previous week. AIR FM 2 Gold managed to hold on to its the fifth spot with an improved 10.6 per cent. Evening followed by night and mid-morning time band observed the highest listenership on total radio.

In Bangalore Universe of 5.3 million listeners Radio City continued to remain at the top with 24.6 per cent share, followed by Big FM (19.2 per cent) and Radio Mirchi (15.8 per cent.) Radio Mirchi continued to suffer a minor drop of 0.5 per cent in its share. At fourth spot, Fever FM moved up by 0.4 per cent to 14.4 per cent share. AIR FM1-Rainbow took the fifth spot with 6.3 per cent share, which went up by 0.3 per cent. Night followed by mid-morning and evening time band observed the highest listenership on total radio.

In Kolkata Universe of 9.1 million listeners, Radio Mirchi claimed the first spot garnering 21.5 per cent share with an improvement of 0.3 per cent. It was followed by Big FM with 18.4 per cent share, down by 0.6 per cent from the previous count. At the third spot, Fever FM also saw an increase of 1.8 per cent to 14.9 per cent share. Aamar FM climbed up to fourth spot by 0.3 per cent to 10.4 per cent share. Red FM slipped to the fifth spot with 9.4 per cent share, down by 0.7 per cent. Mid-morning followed by morning and afternoon time band observed the highest listenership on total radio.
