Anuradha Prasad re-elected as President, AROI

Anuradha Prasad, Chairperson BAG Films (News 24/Radio Dhamaal), has been re-elected as President of the Association of Radio Operators for India (AROI). This is her fourth consecutive term in the office. According to sources, the decision to extend her term by one year was unanimously taken during the AROI AGM held on Friday.

Speaking to exchange4media, Prasad said, "I am happy to be elected again and I hope the radio industry grows by leaps and bounds because that is what we are all here for. The industry is doing well and there has been a lot of concentration on radio, especially post this government came to power. I am extremely happy that radio is growing. It is a medium for the common people whom it is hard to reach by other mediums. For a country like ours, radio is a great medium."

The AROI has been formed to act as a central organisation of radio broadcasters of India and to represent their interests to the government.
