Dainik Bhaskar touches 55 Lakh circulation target, to further expand in Bihar

Dainik Bhaskar, a Hindi language newspaper, owned by Dainik Bhaskar Group, touched its circulation target of 55 lakh copies all over India.

According to the Audit Bureau of Circulation figures, Dainik Bhaskar was selling more than 38 Lakh (3,812,599) copies on an average between January-June 2016 leaving behind Dainik Jagran, which sold an average of around 36 lakh (3,632,383) copies during the same period.

Arguably one of the largest circulated newspapers in India, Dainik Bhaskar, is also planning to expand in Bihar and achieve a target circulation of 59 lakh copies by December 2017.

The daily newspaper had entered Bihar in 2014 with launching the brand in Patna. In 2015, the Dainik Bhaskar Group further penetrated in the northern state and launched three more editions in Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Gaya.

Currently, the group is present in 12 states with 65 print editions in Hindi, English, Marathi and Gujarati and 13 digital editions with 1.9 billion collective page-views and 85.6 million unique visitors across all its portals. In June 2017, Dainik Bhaskar had also launched its Hindi news mobile application on all the three popular operating systems i.e. Android, iPhone and Windows.

The D B Corp Ltd. also owns radio station My FM (94.3) which has its presence across 7 states.
