Volkswagen India is all set to introduce its popular global products—the Tiguan and the Passat—in the Indian market. Beginning with the made-in-India, made-for-India Ameo in 2016 and the recent introduction of GTI, Volkswagen continues to expand its product portfolio. Packed with elements that form the core DNA at Volkswagen, Tiguan and Passat will offer superior safety features, power, performance, class-leading driving dynamics, and comfort.

Based on the path-breaking MQB (modular transverse matrix) platform, the second generation Tiguan is a best-selling SUV in its class. The body proportions of the latest Volkswagen SUV are sporty and exude charisma with its stylish design. It has a 2.0L TDI engine mated to a 7speed DSG gearbox that aims to deliver impressive driving performance.
The New Passat is positioned as a benchmark-setting sedan in its segment. Loaded with new technologies, the New Passat showcases dynamic design and offers advanced entertainment and safety features. Based on the MQB (modular transverse matrix) platform, Passat will be powered with a 2.0L TDI engine mated to a 6-speed DSG gearbox. For the first time in India, Volkswagen Passat will offer nine airbags providing additional safety for passengers.
The Limited Edition 3-door GTI comes equipped with a 1.8L 4-cylinder TSI engine mated to a 7-speed automatic DSG transmission producing 141 kW (192 PS) of power. The vehicle offers a combination of sporty chassis, agile and economic engine, and unique design.
Marking a strong line-up with the Ameo, GTI, Tiguan, and Passat, Volkswagen will have fresh new products to offer in 2017. The Polo, Vento, Jetta, and Beetle will continue to remain frontline products for Volkswagen in the Indian market. The new range will create a robust portfolio offering customers a wide variety of products to choose from.
