Vinita Bali leads high profile jury for Indian Marketing Awards 2014

As the nation approaches its first marketing awards event, exchange4media has announced the jury for Indian Marketing Awards 2014. IMA will have a rigorous two-stage judging process. The judges will look to reward innovation, strategic thinking, results and key outcomes that contributed value to the respective organisations. Eight top industry leaders will be part of the IMA jury headed by Vinita Bali, former Managing Director, Britannia.

Amarnath Ananthanarayanan, CEO and MD at Bharti AXA General Insurance, Amit Burman, Vice Chairman at Dabur, Prema Sagar, Principal & Founder at Genesis Burson-Marsteller, Ranjan Kapur, Country Manager – India at WPP, Sangeeta Pendurkar, Managing Director at Kellogg India, Sukumar Ranganathan, Editor at Mint, Thomas Puliyel, President at IMRB International, Mumbai, and Vijay Subramaniam, Managing Director - India & South East Asia, Bacardi India form the jury that will decide which entries sweep the awards this year.

With an aim to advance the marketing profession, unlock the potential of ideas, markets and businesses and realise their true value for customers and organisations, IMA 2014 is looking at setting new standards of marketing excellence, while recognising and honouring creativity, originality and effectiveness delivered by marketers.

“The event must trulyrecognise exceptional work so that it inspires and motivates the industry to strive for excellence,” Bali said.

The awards categories of brand activation, brand extension, brand revitalisation, among others, reflect strategic marketing objectives that are common to all organisations. Submissions will be judged against the marketing achievements of all types of business – rather than just those of direct competitors in your industry sector.

exchange4media has also partnered with Contract Advertising to launch IMA 2014. Contract Advertising is jointly working with exchange4media to put forth a campaign that celebrates the value a marketer creates for the consumer and the business by being innovative and effective.

“We are very happy to be closely associated with the IMA launch strategy and campaign. The ethos of this initiative is very much in line with our beliefs and philosophy at Contract. It is all about marketing excellence and building brands which have sustainable value. An environment where brave ideas win,” said Rana Barua, CEO, Contract India, on Contract’s partnership with exchange4media for IMA.

Speaking about the partnership with Contract Advertising, Anurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media group, said, “Indian Marketing Awards is our biggest and most prestigious competition, aimed at advancing the marketing profession and identifying the emerging trends in marketing. We are extremely happy to partner with Contract Advertising for conceptualising the advertising and promotional strategy for the awards. We chose them as our partners for their definitive understanding of marketing and marketers in India and their creative excellence.”
