Videocon appoints Sanjeev Bakshi as COO

Sanjeev Bakshi has been appointed as the Chief Operations Officer for Videocon. In his new role, he will be responsible for establishing Videocon as a preferred brand for consumer, with major focus on product development and distribution expansion.

Bakshigraduated from the Institute of Management Studies in 1997, andbrings with him an unparalleled experience in the consumer durable industry, with a career spanning nearly two decades. For the last 17 years, he has worked withleading brands like LG, Philips, Godrej and Voltas. Bakshi has worked across various departments and verticals, includingproduct planning, GTM, service and sales and marketing, which has helped him gain an in-depth understanding into the consumer durable industry. During his stint with Voltas, he was instrumental in taking the brand to the leadership position in the air conditioner segment.

Speaking on the appointment, Bakshi said, “I amvery excited and thrilled to be a part of the Videocon team. Videocon has a legacy of 27 years and is a household name across the country. My immediate task is to focus on product development and expand the distribution. We want to make Videocon as preferred choice of consumer air conditioner segment.”

At Videocon,Bakshi heads the AC division. He is known to be a man of action, who follows a philosophy of punctuality and discipline. For the brand, he has ambitious plans, including the creation of a distinct vertical to focus on this growing category.
