United Colours of Benetton celebrated 40 years of its existence in style in the Capital. This included a party with the theme ‘walk through Benetton’s world’ that was brought alive by pictorial panels depicting the brand’s journey to date and a showcase of Benetton’s Autumn Winter collection 2006 on the catwalk by leading models of the country.
Speaking at the occasion, Gagan Singh, Managing Director, Benetton India Pvt Ltd, said, “Through these 40 years, United Colors of Benetton has become a global force to reckon with. It is one of the most respected fashion brands in India. Benetton is a brand inspired by life and it has been truly embraced by our customers and business partners here. India is a strategic market for the Benetton Group and our connection with this country is deepening constantly.”
The evening saw the coming together of Benetton’s loyal customers, business partners and Delhi’s glitterati. The fashion show showcased styles ranging from formal city chic to party wear to casual leisure wear.
Benetton will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in Paris in October 2006, where it will be presenting a fashion show telling the story of a brand that represents freedom, democracy of taste and a simultaneously international and Italian lifestyle at the Parisian contemporary art institution, Centre Pompidou.
