Top CMOs honoured at Pitch CMO Summit 2017

exchange4media celebrated the recent edition of the Pitch CMO Summit in Mumbai. The Pitch CMO Summit is a flagship property of the exchange4media group. It witnesses a gathering of the best minds in the business of marketing. The conversations at the summit each year revolve around current and relevant marketing topics in a changing global market scenario.

This year, the summit once again saw felicitation of some of the best work done in marketing from the brand side with CMOs getting felicitated for their hard work in different categories.

In all, 18 marketing heads were felicitated at the Brand Custodian Awards during this edition of the Pitch CMO Summit under various categories.

“I would like to thank the jury to really choose us. I have always been known for being number crunching  and being chosen just puts the onus on me to perform better and living up to the expectation,” said Sanjeev Hannda, VP  & Head (Marketing) at Maruti Suzuki, who was felicitated  as ‘Most Data Driven’ marketer.

“I am really humbled. This is dedicated to Sunita (Sunita Bangard, President, Marketing , Idea) and the bunch of kids who are doing such a great job. Thank you so much,” said Shashi Shankar, CMO of Idea Cellular, felicitated for Best Digital Presence.

“Thank  you for giving us this honour. In fact we are in a category that is highly dominated by one player and we are the challengers. We are proud to be one of the brands that have survived for 96 years right now. We have passed various stages and despite being a challenger we have stuck to our guns; our belief about healthy homes, everyone talks about beauty and proterction but we thought there is probably something beyond that. We have taken that challenge and thanks very much for appreciating it,”, said Ram Mehrotra, VP ( Sales & Marketing), Decorative Paints,at Kansai Nerolac Paints, who was one of the CMOs felicitated in the category, ‘Most Influential CMO’.

“It is indeed a privilege. Thank you so much to the jury for having chosen and this is on behalf of the team,” said Amrit Thomas, CMO at United Spirits, who was among those felicitated in the category ‘Best Use of Media’.
