Matrimonial portal and home appliances company Whirlpool have come together to make the journey from the decision to get married to the setting up of one’s home more exciting and hassle free. The promotion, called ‘Bandhan Khushiyon Ka’, has three distinctive components – ‘Swayamvar’, ‘Shubhaarambh’ and ‘Shagun’. It offers prospective brides and grooms the twin benefits of not only finding one’s dream mate but also helping them in setting up their dream home.

Anup Jain, General Manager-Marketing, Whirlpool, said, “We are extremely excited about the ‘Bandhan Khushiyon Ka’ promotion with, as it synergises well with our core values of providing complete home-making solutions.”

As part of the initiative, and Whirlpool will jointly organise on-ground ‘Swayamvars’, catering to specific communities, age groups and specific segments like Punjabi, Sikh, NRIs, Aggarwals, Mangliks, etc.

Under the ‘Shubharambh’ component of the programme, there would be pre-marriage seminars organised for couples-to-be. These seminars would offer pre-marriage counseling and provide expert opinion on a host of topics like how to deal with marriage blues, planning the wedding and so on.

The third component – ‘Shagun’ – is what those who tie the knot through this initiative will get. On purchase of Whirlpool products, newlyweds will get a free honeymoon package and a special booklet cataloguing various discount offers and free gifts from a number of top of the line brands. This will range from offers on cars, clothing, furniture, home electronics, and jewellery, followed by a bumper lucky draw. All this would be exclusive to members only.

Elaborating on the programme, Rajat Gandhi, General Manager,, said, “Through ‘Bandhan Khushiyon Ka’, our endeavour would be to create relationships for a lifetime. Ever since its launch, has been engaged in helping build relationships through pioneering concepts like Swayamvars, which are held practically every week throughout the country. In fact, it has been the overwhelming feedback received by us from our users that has prompted us to offer our users other dimensions of marriage through initiatives like this one with Whirlpool. Our objective is to continue with such initiatives in the future as well.”
