The forum is also the organiser of a unique format celebrating women@work, CORPORATE DIVA. Trehan talks about the immense potential of digital marketing and how she leveraged the medium. Excerpts:
Is there immense potential in Digital Marketing? What are its advantages?
Yes indeed! There is huge potential in Digital Marketing and The H.O.W. Forum stands as a proud testimony to it. It is only through digital presence initiated via a blog and then a Facebook community that it has now gone on to become a successful organisation run by a woman entrepreneur. The biggest advantage of Digital Marketing is that it can be initiated by anyone and has the potential to eventually scale a business up to greater heights. Digital Marketing can give a brand the desired presence, visibility, financial inflow, client connect, brand development and contributes hugely in the making and recognition of a brand.
How much presence does your forum have on digital?
The Health.Of.Women Forum has been in existence since Nov’2014. In a short span of time, the organisation has achieved much to its credit in terms of work quality, awards, following and recognition, with the YouTube video having crossed 2,00,000+ views. Currently the Forum has its impactful presence in digital arena through Facebook, LinkedIn, WordPress website/blog, and YouTube. The presence of The H.O.W. Forum would extend to other digital arenas such as Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc.
Are you looking forward to expand your business by using online marketing?
Of course! I think that’s the way to go about in today’s time. Online Marketing is the need of the hour for every business to grow. We have recently invested in the process of signing up with other online marketing avenues, which would further lead to increased SEO levels, traffic, client reach and eventually result in expansion of client base and business.
What are some of the difficulties you face while using digital advertising?
There’s a lot of caution that must be practiced in terms of connecting with the right, efficient and result oriented option/vendor. There are several options available, most of which can be signed up for from the comfort of your desk, however to monitor the actual translation of your investment into productive numbers and reaching the correct target audience remains a challenge.
Do you think brands are also adopting new ways to reach out to their audience?
Now are the times of creativity and innovation. To change with the change is a must for survival and success. Traditional concepts backed with newer, more creative and innovative formats, capture the eyes and attention of the audience.
Tell us some of your ideas through which you are planning to promote your brand.
As much as mechanical and technological support is vital, a human intervention/interaction is survival! The good news is, amalgamating the two is not much of a challenge anymore, for which the credit goes to digitisation. The H.O.W. Forum too intends putting into action such plans that would lead to a ‘digi-human’ approach resulting in optimal utilisation of technology with an equal presence of the ever-vital human touch in order to promote itself.
