RBS Home Appliances has launched six products from the Siemens stable in the category of refrigerators and freezers.
The new 270-Litre Direct Cool marks Siemens’ entry to the mass market. The pricing has been introduced to enter the 80 per cent market of direct cool fridges. The other model is 420 Litres and 470 Litres Frost free with ‘Sensor-Logic’ and ‘Door Cooling’. The USP of these products is the complete door shower for better cooling and the vegetable compartment on rails.
The growing demand for stand-alone freezers has made Siemens add on to its range of freezers. The 259 Litres freezer is completely frost-free and the first of its kind in India. In addition, there is a 200-Litre freezer that will help in expanding the freezer market by home usage.
The brand has also introduced the Siemens Wine Cooler. Talking about the new range Vipul Raval, MD, RBS Home Appliances, remarks, “The technological superiority of the products launched today in terms of best energy efficiency in the same capacity class will help the environment and the be easy on the pocket. The launch of the other products keeps in line with the niche market strategy”.
Siemens brand is positioned as a premium-commanding brand and enjoys lot of goodwill and reputation in the market. At present its market share is approx. Five per cent to eight per cent and more than 25 per cent in the premium category.
