RainMan Consulting, the brain child of Balasubramanium V and Manoj Tadepalli, is now fully operational. Specialising in consultancy for marketing effectiveness, RainMan Consulting has a vision ‘to be recognised as the best end to end partner for marketing effectiveness and accountability’. The first step towards realising this vision is to rope in industry veterans and academics on their advisory board. As part of this vision, Santosh Desai, Andre Nair, Prof Prakash Apte and Rajiv Kucchal have joined the advisory board.

Santosh Desai is Managing Director and CEO of Future Brands Ltd. Future Brands is a branding services company that creates and manages a portfolio of brands and offers consulting services in the brand and consumer space. Desai was earlier President of McCann Erickson. A Post Graduate from IIM-A and an observer of contemporary Indian society, Desai has his own column that documents everyday reality in The Times of India. He also writes on media, brands and advertising in columns that appear in Mint, Tehelka and Media International.
Andre Nair started out in advertising and media 29 years ago with Ogilvy & Mather in Singapore. His career with Ogilvy took him to several countries, including New York, Malaysia, China and Hong Kong. He became co-CEO of MindShare Asia Pacific at its inception in 1997 and moved to India as Chairman in 2001 to launch its operations across South Asia. He was transferred to Mediaedge:cia as Chairman APAC in 2004. With the formation of GroupM Asia Pacific in 2006, he was appointed CEO, SEA & SA. In addition, Nair managed GroupM’s M&A activities for the region and headed its specialist units responsible for Content, Sports, Sponsorship and Analytics. In 2007, he moved to become Chief Strategy Officer Asia Pacific for JWT and RMG Connect. Nair currently runs Reach Media Consulting, which is involved with all aspects of media and marketing.
Prakash G Apte is professor of Economics and Finance at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He will advise RainMan on the econometric and mathematical modeling with the aim of creating sophisticated predictive models. Rajiv Kucchal has nearly 23 years of experience mainly in IT-related areas.
