RPG rated No.1 cellular operator: IDC survey

In a survey on mobile users conducted by the research organization International Data Corporation (IDC) for the telecom magazine Voice & Data, RPG Cellular has been rated the No.1 cellular operator in India.

The study covered cellular subscribers and their satisfaction levels across ten cities covering 23 circles. The average satisfaction index of cellular operators across the country has been 3.78 on a scale of 5. RPG Cellular, Chennai has been rated No.1 in India, with an overall rating of 4.18. Escotel, Kerala was rated No.2.

The study covered all aspects related to cellular usage. The overall satisfaction index was arrived at based on 10 parameters - coverage, ease of getting through calls, noise call drops, application formalities, convenience in payment modes, billing accuracy, time taken to address a complaint, helpfulness of customer care executive and knowledge level of customer care executives to solve the problem.

Recently, RPG Cellular was rated No.1 across Indian metros by the Telecom Authority of India (TRAI) also in its first ever quality of service survey carried out through Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB). "Our continued success is attributed to a combination of various factors - superior network quality, outstanding customer care, high billing credibility, strong brand image, and above all, loyalty and support of our subscribers", said Dilip R. Mehta, Managing Director, RPG Cellular Services Ltd.
