Reebok signs on Pathan, Parthiv, Harbhajan Singh

Riding high on the success of the Indian cricket team, Reebok India has decided to rope in three more cricketers—Irfan Pathan, Parthiv Patel and Harbhajan Singh—to endorse its brand. With this, Reebok will have a team of 6 cricketers as brand ambassadors, having already signed on Rahul Dravid, Mohammad Kaif and Yuvraj Singh.

Besides these six, Reebok also has youngsters Gautam Gambhir, Ambavati Rayudu and Amit Mishra as brand ambassadors. The company is seeking to use sports as a means to strengthen its equity as a fitness brand instead of merely as a footwear and apparel brand. It has also recently entered a three-year agreement with the All-India Tennis Association as the official kit sponsor of the Indian Davis Cup and Federation Cup teams.
