Reebok intensifies focus on fashion & lifestyle, all set for 2nd Reebok Zoom Glam Awards

The second Reebok Zoom Glam Awards will be held on January 8, 2008 in Mumbai. The initiative is a joint effort of Reebok India and glamour and entertainment channel Zoom. This Awards signify Reebok’s increasing focus on lifestyle and fashion, a direct derivative of style, determined by its apparel, accessories and footwear collection.

Shamim Sajid, Director Marketing and Product, Reebok India, said, “With an aggressive foray into the lifestyle segment in 2007, we have introduced some top-of-the-line exclusive range in apparel, footwear and accessories in association with some very high-profile fashion personalities like Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson, rap singer Daddy Yankee, fashion designer Manish Arora, ‘Chak De! India’ girl Sagarika Ghatge and even the football-based movie ‘Goal’. As we see it, it’s important for us to take significant and effective steps in reminding the consumer of the wide choices that Reebok offers. Reebok Zoom Glam Awards 2007 are, therefore, an initiative through which we hope to reinforce the proposition of being present in both on and off the field products with the consumers.”

The first Reebok Zoom Glam Awards held last year saw actors Kareena Kapoor and John Abraham being declared India’s most glamorous. The event this year will have 18 awards across 11 categories honouring glamour and flamboyance.

M K Anand, Business Head, Zoom, said, “The Reebok Zoom Glam Awards is an annual property on Zoom, instituted successfully last year. The Awards is a logical extension of Zoom’s identity of being a glamour brand. Zoom recognises the fact that people from different walks of life contribute to the glamour in society.”
